Our Federation

A very warm welcome to the website of The Federation of Thundridge and Ponsbourne St Mary's Church of England Primary Schools.

As two small, caring schools working closely together, we are proud to offer a nurturing and inspiring atmosphere where every child is known, valued, and encouraged to flourish.

Our federation means that we work as two separate schools, each one being unique, with a single Governing Body with a shared Executive Headteacher. Our schools offer ‘the best of both worlds’ with the ‘family feel’ of a smaller setting and sustainability that comes with being part of a larger organisation.

Rooted in our Christian ethos, our schools are guided by the core values of Compassion, Courage, Curiosity (Thundridge) and Respect, Resilience, and Responsibility (Ponsbourne St Mary’s). These values underpin everything we do.

We believe that your child’s journey through primary is a precious time and we are committed to providing varied learning experiences, strong personal development and a happy, inclusive environment.
